FAQs

  • Everything takes as long as it is meant to. I draw on the early teachings of sages and healers who honour the body’s unique wisdom rather than assume all bodies will respond within and require the same amount of time.

My commitment to those I work with is that all sessions will start at the agreed time.

For somatic therapy sessions I hold a 1 hour container in mind while allowing the nervous system to take up the space and time it needs. This could be less than an 1 hour or more if the body needs more time. Sessions much longer than an hour are not advised.

For eco-sexology sessions the container length is agreed before hand. They can be 1.5 hours, 3 hours or 4.5 hours. As with somatic therapy I hold the agreed time container in my mind whilst honouring that there may be more for the body to move through within that time.

If we complete before the agreed time, it is the decision of the client to either close the container or to remain open and for me to witness them in rest until the time comes to an end.

Please always allow for time at the end of a session to integrate the experience. It is normal for the body to need rest, comfort and resourcing following one:one sessions.

  • I do not offer discovery calls. My work is through the body and so I suggest that you book an initial session to get a felt sense of the work and whether this relationship feels supportive and helpful for you before going on to book further sessions.

If for any reason it does not feel accessible for you to book a session before us speaking then please let me know and we can arrange a 10 minute phone call.

If you are interested in a 3 or 6 month container then I suggest booking a somatic therapy session or eco-sexology session, or joining a gathering, first before making this decision.

  • Yes - While most of my sessions take place online, I am available for in-person sessions too.

I am based just outside of Gartmore, 50 minutes from Glasgow. If you would like to arrange in person sessions, please let me know via the contact form.

  • You can connect with me via my connect form or by emailing me directly.

I intend to respond within 48 hours.

  • I implement an equitable model based on the Worts and Cunnings sliding scale. This is to ensure that my services available to all people regardless of their financial situation. You can read about the Worts and Cunning sliding scale here.

Please also visit my page ‘Many Hands’ to find out more about how we can support one another as a community.

When you complete the connect form you will have an opportunity to share where you are on my sliding scale.

  • There is no timeframe for healing. Every body is a unique landscape with their own terrain, mountains, rivers, cliffs and caves.

Our time together will take as long as feels right for you. After our first session, I ask that you commit to at least 6 sessions. It often takes at least this time for the body to feel ‘safe’ enough to be in the therapeutic experience. Safety is a felt sense in the body and can only be cultivated with time.

After 6 sessions, we will review our time together and agree whether we would like to continue our sessions.

  • Yes! Whilst majority of my clients are female presenting, I work with all genders.

This is a queer-loving space which welcomes free gender expression. Please be aware that in eco-sexology we may work intimately with the body - this includes the genitals, breasts/chest and the (energetic) womb space. And while I don’t subscribe to binary gender norms, conversations around identity and womb-hood may be a part of our sessions.

For group gatherings I always offer 2 full scholarships for trans and BIPOC folks - please get in touch to apply.
