Hello, I’m Ami.
I am
Dreamer, tender, activist, lover, mystic, edge walker, artist, weaver, animist.
A somatic therapist, an erotic ecologist, an eco doula and midwife for the great turning, a community builder, a system’s rethinker and a Chaplain. My crafts strike a similar vibration, that of sewing the seeds of a more beautiful and loving world.
I believe
That we are innately kind, loving and whole. But that we need ceremonies, rituals and ways of life that call us home to our sensuality, excitement and entanglement with the web of life. We cannot care and protect that which we do not have a relationship with, so let us come into relationship - with ourselves, with our kin and with our home, Earth.
I share
Interdisciplinary healing, soul initiation and creative sessions with individuals and groups. These offerings inhabit multiple rings on the spiral of our grand healing journey, the tree of our life. They seek to re-story and re-imagine so that we may root resilient, grow community, bloom unique and deepen more loving and authentic ways of living.
A more loving world is possible
Every organism on our planet is made up of the same stardust. We are made of bramble toes, of willow arms, of river hips, of moss lungs.
We are of this Earth and we will someday decompose back to her. We are not separate. As much as western culture would sell us otherwise, we all belong to one another.
Coming back into connection is not a nice to have, it is essential amidst this time of collapse on Earth. Separation from self, others and Earth are what feed the division and suffering we are living through.
I look to Arne Næss’ Deep Ecology framework to know that all beings have intrinsic rights and purpose, that ecosystems work together to create negative entropy rather than waste and that cells are always regenerating. Building a coherent relationship of reciprocity is possible, it is the very law of nature.
Lindsay Branham says ‘do not dream of a utopian world; I am re-membering a world where nothing is separate, where reciprocity and listening can one day become a shared freedom. For all living things’.
This is love. And so I choose to love more fervently, more vibrantly, louder and more joyously. To fall in love so deeply that no one ever could take it away from me. I wish this for all people, that they may love without fear, without constraint, without conditions. That they be free to live a life of love, in whatever way that feels true to them.
I hope that my work contributes to this in whatever way possible. Our acts do not need to be grand or sacrificial; they need only be true. Our activism is turning towards that which sustains and fulfills us.
So, what is your loving activism, your pleasure activism? What makes you come alive? What do you most long for? How does this bring you back into relationship with self, with other, and with the natural world?
I extend my deepest gratitude to the thought leaders, wisdom keepers and teachers who continue to shape me. I eternally surrender to ever more beauty because of the way you inhabit the world:
